"During my first trip to Hong Kong in 2010, I discovered the Asian beauty world for the first time. She was unlike anything I had known before. Cosmetics Enthusiastic as I am, I test myself through the different brands. I quickly realized that many care products are far ahead of European products due to their formulations. Neither expensive nor cheap European care products were even remotely as effective as the Korean and Japanese ones. I also found the grooming habits of Asian women interesting, some of which differ fundamentally from those of European women. Flawless porcelain skin is more than a beauty ideal in many Asian countries. The striving for it is linked to beliefs that are deeply rooted in the mentality of the people. Accordingly, effectiveness is defined differently. At that point, it was clear to me that women in Europe must also benefit from the many advantages of Asian premium cosmetics. I toyed with the idea of opening an online boutique for Asian cosmetics in Germany. My biggest wish was to create a "bridge" between Asia and Europe with this boutique. Only very high quality products should be offered that are really suitable, effective and useful for European skin. All products had to be able to be integrated into the usual care routine and not oblige to comply with the well-known Asian "10 Step Skin Routine", which is sometimes superfluous for European women. In addition, the advice should be really good, competent and neutral. So often I was given bad advice or no advice at all. First-class advice is the be-all and end-all when buying cosmetics. It was very important to me to design this online boutique the way I would like it to be as a customer.
